The Avocado Organic Luxury Mattress is the culmination of more than 30 years of mattress-making in Los Angeles from a certified organic mattress brand that farms and processes many of its certified organic materials. The list of certified organic materials is impressive: up to 4 inches of GOLS-certified organic latex from our rubber farms, organic wool from our farmers, 2 inches of natural alpaca, natural silk, organic hemp fiber, recycled steel coils, and, of course, organic cotton. You will not find a more plush, luxurious, certified organic mattress — at any price, anywhere.

Layer 1: GOTS-certified organic cotton sourced from Canada (450g).
Layer 2: GOTS-certified organic wool (325g), sourced ethically from our farms in the Himalayas and cleaned mechanically without chemicals in our facility in India. Our wool is certified to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), which addresses the welfare of sheep and the land they graze on, and the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® non-toxic certification (19.HIN.68466, Hohenstein HTTI).
Layer 3: 2 inches of natural Alpaca fiber ethically sourced from the Netherlands (500g).
Layer 4: Another layer of our GOTS-certified organic wool from India.
Layer 5: GOTS-certified organic cotton canvas sourced from South Carolina (375g/12oz).
Layer 6: 2 inches of GOLS-certified organic soft, Dunlop natural latex (D65/14-19ILD), made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, with eco-INSTIUT® label, FSC®, and Rainforest Alliance® certifications. Sourced from India and Guatemala, from our farms and organic certified processing facilities. This latex layer is contour cut in a patented design, featuring three zones of body contouring support.
Layer 7: A soft GOTS-certified organic blend of cotton, wool, and natural silk (500g).

Layer 9: A 3-inch micro-coil innerspring unit, encased in a food-grade polypropylene fabric (non-woven and non-toxic), with up to 960 individually wrapped springs, for durability without sagging or settling, and to minimize “roll-together” and isolate motion (pillow-top only). The coils are assembled using a safe and environmentally-conscious adhesive composed of tested components (Waxes: CAS 8002-74-2, Resin: CAS 8050-26-8, Antioxidant: CAS 6683-19-8, EVA Polymer: CAS 24937-78-8). the finished innerspring unit meets OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, EWG Verified®, MADE SAFE®, GREENGUARD Gold, and Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verification standards.
Layer 10: Soft GOTS-certified organic wool, blended with cotton and natural silk (500g, pillow-top only).
Layer 11: 2 inches of GOLS-certified organic certified, soft Dunlop natural latex (D65/14-19ILD), made with ≥95% certified organic latex, the highest possible standard, with the eco-INSTITUT® label and FSC®, and Rainforest Alliance® certifications. Sourced from India and Guatemala, from our farms and organic certified processing facilities.
Layer 12: 8-inch innerspring unit, encased in a food-grade polypropylene fabric (non-woven and non-toxic), with up to 1,379 fabric-encased coils made from recycled steel in 3 wire gauges that move independently and are arranged in 7 ergonomic zones, with a reinforced steel perimeter for edge support. The coils are assembled using a safe and environmentally-conscious adhesive composed of tested components (Waxes: CAS 8002-74-2, Resin: CAS 8050-26-8, Antioxidant: CAS 6683-19-8, EVA Polymer: CAS 24937-78-8). the finished innerspring unit meets OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, EWG Verified®, MADE SAFE®, GREENGUARD Gold, and Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verification standards.
Layer 13: GOTS-certified organic natural hemp pad (450g) for firm support. Handles, Tufts & Details

Layer 15: GOTS-certified organic needle-punched wool sourced from our farms in India.
Layer 16: Breathable GOTS-certified organic cotton jersey (95g) to help hold the organic latex in place.
Layer 17: A soft GOTS-certified organic blend of cotton, wool, and natural silk (500g). Reinforced handles are 10 inches long and made with GOTS-certified organic cotton, sourced from Canada, made in 2 layers for durability and strength (450g & 334g). No synthetic yarns are used. Tuft rosettes attached to a woven tape made from GOTS-certified organic cotton eliminate the need for glues, as the Luxury Plush Mattress is tufted with steel needles by hand in up to 32 locations, depending on size. Rosettes are made with certified organic wool sourced from the United States. Our closing woven tape is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton (450) sourced from Canada. Recyclable, aluminum, bull-hook staples are used instead of glue to bind the interior perimeter to latex. Our green embroidery thread used for our logo is even STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified as non-toxic. Handles are intended to help you rotate the mattress only. Do not attempt to transport the mattress by using the handles.
